NIEM Announces Specifications Available for Public Comment

The National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) Management Office announces that two NIEM beta 1 specifications are available for public comment through Friday, February 26. The specifications are:

            The specification details the normative rules and non-normative guidance for building a NIEM IEPD.The document deprecates the Model Package Description (MPD) construct as of NIEM 5.0.

            The specification details general conformance guidance, principles, and rules for the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) version 5.0.

NIEM’s TechHub provides the developer community with NIEM resources and training. TechHub’s organization of these technical repositories has been simplified for ease of navigation and use. A landing page has been created for NIEM Specifications, which includes the “Announcements” identifying NIEM specifications ready for review. From there, users can view the new specifications, review the changes, or submit feedback.
