Sign up for NIEM's Hybrid Technical Training from September 25 - 29. Each day you will watch approximately 2 hours of training videos at your convenience and a live NIEM expert will host a daily Q&A Session from 3:00 - 3:30 PM (ET).


Volunteer for the Outreach and Communications Subcommittee

The new group will focus on establishing communication channels between community members where information can flow to all existing and potential users of the NIEMOpen standards, and where users can contribute to future definitions of functionality. Signup by February 28, 2023.

NIEMOpen Receives 2022 Open Cup Award for Outstanding New Initiative

OASIS Open, the international open source and standards consortium, announced the winners of the 2022 Open Cup for Outstanding New Initiative was awarded to NIEMOpen, a framework for sharing critical data in justice, public safety, emergency management, and more.

Announcing NIEM Version 5.2 Production Release

NIEM Version 5.2 is now available for download and use. The model increased from just under 13,000 elements to nearly 19,000 elements. NIEM 5.2 is a minor release, published December 2022. Updates include new content for Biometrics, Cyber, Justice, and MilOps subcommittees, as well as code list revisions/additions.

Announcing the NIEM Public IEPD / MEP Registry and Repository

NMO has officially launched the first release of a Public IEPD/MEP Registry and Repository that allows users to register IEPD/MEP's and promote re-use and collaboration. The initial rollout includes over 200+ IEPDs/MEPs and will continue to be actively updated as more IEPDs/MEPs are collected and published.
