Bureau of JusticeAssistance Ashburn, Virginia United States Department of Justice NIEM Bridging Information Systems NIEM Practical Implementer’s Course September 23–25, 2008 About the Course: The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are pleased to offer a public training course on the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM). This course will provide practical implementation strategies for data exchanges and methodologies for using NIEM. NIEM consists of reusable components that enable information exchange and reuse in multiple applications and sources. The standardization of the components results in increased interoperability from data exchanges between various information systems. Registration: There is no fee to attend the NIEM Practical Implementer’s Course National Training event in Ashburn, Virginia, on September 23–25, 2008. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Who Should Attend? This technical course is specifically designed for implementers, developers, and practitioners in the field. Prior XML experience is recommended. This new and improved implementer’s course is designed to provide 24 hours of training presented over three days.
