International Trade Domain
Overview
One of the United States’ broad homeland security missions is “protecting the movement of international trade across U.S. borders, maximizing the security of the international supply chain, and engaging foreign governments and trading partners in programs designed to identify and eliminate security threats before these arrive at U.S. ports and borders.” NIEM supports this international trade mission area by facilitating real-time exchange of information with numerous state, local, international, and other partners.
